At the 15th International Asian Urbanization Conference “Urban Futures: Critical Transformation in Asian Cities”, Audrey Bourgoin got the prize for the best academic contribution in the field of young academics for her work on the integration of indicators of urban sustainability and resilience.

In einem ersten Workshop wurde am heutigen Tag mit 30 vietnamesischen Experten aus den Bereichen Stadtplanung, Verkehr und Gesundheit aktuelle Entwicklungen in Ho Chi Minh City identifiziert, deren gegenseitige Einflüsse diskutiert sowie Strategien und Maßnahmen entwickelt.

Today, the “Multidisciplinary Project” in the English-language Master's programme “Sustainable Urban Development” starts with a tour of the district in Ho Chi Minh City. Since 2012, the TU Darmstadt has been offering this course at the Vietnamese-German University in Ho Chi Minh City. In this project, the students plan to complete their studies in the coming months with a sustainable development for the neighbourhood.

Start des interdisziplinären Studienprojekts Bau und Umwelt „Entwicklungskonzept der Oos in Baden-Baden“

Das interdisziplinäre Studienprojekt Bau und Umwelt „Entwicklungskonzept der Oos in Baden-Baden“ startete am Do. 17.10. mit einer Besichtigung des Planungsraums sowie einer intensiven fachlichen Diskussion mit Vertreterinnen und Vertretern der Stadt Baden-Baden.

The new Joint Degree Programme “Sustainable Urban Development” started at the two main universities (Vietnamese-German-University (VGU) in Ho Chi Minh City and TU Darmstadt) with about thirty students. As the course is interdisciplinary, it begins with modules for the adaptation of knowledge for students from different Bachelor's programmes.

Starting in the winter semester 2019/20, the module “GIS and applications to urban development”, which includes the seminars “Basics of GIS” and “Using GIS for Urban Analysis”, will replace the module “Geoinformationsystem 1”. The module “Geoinformationsystem 1” is no longer offered.

Im Wintersemester 2019/2020 finden jeweils um 16:00 Uhr im Seminarraum 33 Franziska-Braun-Str. 7 (altes Bauingenieurgebäude, Lichtwiese) folgende Vorträge statt:

Gemeinsamer Workshop am 11. Juli

Derzeit halten sich zwei internationale Experten (Dr. Volkan Çağdaş (Associate professor at Yildiz Technical University (YTU) Istanbul), Nguyen Ngoc Hieu (Ph.D., Senior Lecturer of Sustainable Urban Development master study program (SUD), Vietnamese German University (VGU))) zum Thema Baulandumlegung an der TU Darmstadt auf.

Mit dem Kickoff am 04.06.2019 startet das neue Forschungsprojekt SHOTUP offiziell. Gemeinsam untersuchen die TU Darmstadt (Institut für Verkehrsplanung und Verkehrstechnik sowie Fachgebiet Landmanagement) und die Vietnamese-German University (Vietnamese-German Transport Research Centre) innerhalb des Forschungsprojektes SHOTUP die Wechselbeziehungen und Zielkonflikte zwischen Verkehrsplanung, Stadtplanung und Gesundheitsförderung.
