Dr. Hackman took over and presented from Accra the possibilities of using machine learning to enhance the use of spatial data. In session II, three speakers (Dr. Michael Thiel from Universität Würzburg, Peter Ritchie: Executive Consultant GIS/Transport and Dr. Felipe de Souza from Technische Universität Darmstadt) presented the outcome of their daily scientific and practical work using GIS and spatial information, including remote sensing as well. After a lunch break, three PhD students at WASCAL CC & HH took the opportunity in Session III to present the current outcomes of their research work.
