In the public series of events organized by the AG Interdisziplinäre Stadtforschung in cooperation with NUR – Network Urban Research, researchers from the AG Interdisziplinäre Stadtforschung at TU Darmstadt and invited guests from various disciplines will present their current work on the topic of the city. The “Stadtgespräche” are open to all interested parties at the university as well as the urban public and practitioners.
Excursion Development of rural areas

This year's excursion “Development of rural areas” took the excursion group to Vogtland in Saxony from June 4 to June 6. The Master's students of civil and environmental engineering, who were accommodated in Plauen, had the opportunity to explore the LEADER region “legendary Vogtland” together with fellow students from TU Dresden and a group of surveying trainees.

EU joint project “REGENERATE” about heat recovery from tunnels has launched

Under the title “REGENERATE – Reuse for Energy Exploitation and storage of existing urban Tunnels in Europe”, a new joint project has started in which we, together with partners from Italy, Austria and Romania, are researching the energy potential of tunnels and other underground structures for regenerative heat generation.
