PaEGIE Citizen Workshops successfully completed

Concentrated work and constructive suggestions, a lively exchange and great interest in the technology characterized the citizens' workshops as part of the research project “Participative Energy Transformation” (PaEGIE).

The aim of the research project is to improve the participation of citizens in planning processes and in this way to enable them to design the mobility transition together. After the successful implementation of the citizen workshops Lincolnsiedlung, Mollerstadt and Heimstättensiedlung, PaEGIE has completed the first pilot phase. The discussion resulted in many constructive suggestions for improvement on the topic of mobility in the neighborhood as well as for the further development of the participation tool. Together with the results from the accompanying survey, the first pilot phase will now be evaluated and adjustments will be made for the next test phase.
