City of Griesheim informs about the “building component carousel” in the Darmstadt-Dieburg region

Griesheim citizens, especially property owners and developers, were invited to the historic Wagenhalle over two days for a presentation of the townscape framework plan recently adopted by the Griesheim town council and the resulting preservation statutes. Experts from the fields of urban planning and architecture were available on site for consultation and showed the visitors the possibilities of preserving Griesheim's building culture on the basis of the townscape framework plan. In this context, information was also provided about the “building component carousel” (Bauteilkreisel) of the Region Darmstadt-Dieburg, which is a product of the WieBauin research project. Posters and brochures were used to explain the benefits of the internet platform for the reuse of building components and other building materials, and to point out the many additional information options, such as the material yield calculator.
