Invitation to the 25th workshop “Kommunale Geoinformationssysteme”

Wednesday, 02. March 2022 as online seminar

2022/03/02 09:00-16:00

In its annual workshops, the IKGIS addresses current trends and developments in the areas of GIS and land management. In its 25th (anniversary) workshop on March 2, 2022, the three subject areas of open data in Hesse, current developments in spatial data infrastructures and digital participation will be addressed.

From February 1, 2022, the Hessian Administration for Soil Management and Geoinformation will make geodata available for free use via the Internet. These can either be viewed on the screen, downloaded or integrated into an application as a service. The lectures by the Hessian State Office for Soil Management and Geoinformation show how these possibilities can be used and what developments are behind them:

- Open Data in Hessen (Uwe Mattler, Karsten Spilker and Timo Knapp, HLBG)

  • The exciting way of implementation
  • Delivery channels
  • First experience

In addition to open data, geodata infrastructures play an important role in the use of geoinformation. For this purpose, current developments and sustainable solutions are shown, among other things, using the example of the GDI-Südhessen, as a municipal GDI:

  • GDI-DE Status update 2022(Andreas von Dömming, GDI-DE)
  • Rest APIs new perspectives for web-friendly geolocation (Carsten Himpler-Dumond, District government of Cologne)
  • GDI-Südhessen Inter-municipal cooperation for the region (Martin Domeyer, Vorstand GDI-Südhessen and Nicole Saravanja, office GDI-Südhessen)

Intensive public participation is a prerequisite for the acceptance and success of projects and measures. The developing age of digitization enables new forms of digital participation. Through an introduction and the presentation of successfully implemented projects, the viewers get a deeper insight and have the opportunity for discussion:

  • Basics of digital participation (Prof. Dr. Michèle Knodt, TU Darmstadt)
  • Smarticipate – A platform for citizen participation (Dr. Joachim Rix, Fraunhofer IGD, Darmstadt)
  • City laboratories for Germany: Development of a digital vacancy and settlement management platform as part of an OZG model project with 14 cities ( Bo Nintzel, immovativ GmbH)
  • GIS applications for participation in the FrankfurtRheinMain regional association – support of the planning processes with geoinformation (Claudia Dobe, regional association FrankfurtRheinMain)

Participation fee 25. Workshop:

  • Normal: EUR 120,-- (excl.7% MwSt.) per Person
  • IKGIS-Members: EUR 50,-- (excl. 7% MwSt.) per Person
  • Students of the Technical University of Darmstadt: free
