As part of a citizens walk organized by the MainzZero citizens' initiative, plans as well as possible problems and requirements with regard to climate-neutral design were presented
Contributions were made at a total of three stations, including on the drawn up development plan, on the topic of sustainable transport design and on the topic of structural structures (life cycle) and microclimate.
The design of public spaces, including traffic development, was examined more closely. There is a need for improvement, e.g. with regard to the bike infrastructure, explains industrial engineer Benjamin Kraff.
The participants learned at which specific points along the way urban policy is climate-relevant and which effects can result from changes.
