The “building component carousel” for the Darmstadt-Dieburg region has been launched

2021/11/02

With a digital live event on the 29th of October 2021, the Internet platform “building component carousel” was officially opened.

Citizens of the Darmstadt-Dieburg region and beyond now have the opportunity to offer and purchase used or remaining building components and other building materials in a targeted manner, based on the motto “reuse instead of waste”. The “building component carousel” offers even more possibilities. it allows local companies to offer their support for installation or removal or reprocessing. In addition, you can calculate your own CO2-saving potential, calculate achievable prices for your own components and check for potential hazardous substances.

In the digital event, there was a brief introduction to the goals that are pursued with the reuse of components and building materials, as well as a presentation of the various functionalities of the Internet platform “building component carousel”. The first District Councilor of the Darmstadt-Dieburg district, Lutz Köhler, as well as the mayors of the two municipal partners Münster (Hesse), Joachim Schledt, and Otzberg, Matthias Weber, expressed their support for the project. Prof. Annette Rudolph-Cleff (TU Darmstadt) and Dr. Ferber (accompanying scientific research in the BMBF-funding program “Stadt-Land-Plus”) emphasized the importance of the project for the sustainable development of the construction industry. Julius Schäufele, who supports the project with his company restado UG as a private sector partner, wanted the approach to be widely disseminated to other circles and regions. The event ended with the platform going live together.

The Offenbach-Post also reported on the digital live event. You can find the article here (in german).

The component carousel is an exciting and future-oriented project that you can actively use at www.bauteilkreisel-dadi.de or www.bauteilkreisel-dadi.net by putting components and other building materials up for sale or finding out how they can be reusable.
