13-B2-M036 Interdisciplinary development project for infrastructure solutions

In the winter semester 2021/22, the “Engineers Without Limits Challenge” will be offered for the first time at the TU Darmstadt.
As part of this seminar, questions from the field of Development Cooperation that change every year are dealt with on the basis of a real construction or planning project. The students should develop innovative solutions with reference to technical room or infrastructure systems and also take into account the special conditions of infrastructure supply in regions of the global south.
The thematic focus this year is on increasing the productivity of agriculture in Nepal. One approach is to use solar-powered water pumps to sufficiently irrigate the fields.
