The International Summer School on UAV Photogrammetry, Laser Scanning, and Bathymetry 2024 was and event organized by German (DGPF) and Polish (PTFiT) Societies of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing. Our research group was directly involved in the organization.

The event brought together experts and students from Poland, Germany, and other European countries to learn about the latest techniques in these fields. More than 50 participants enjoyed lectures, hands-on workshops, and group projects, gaining both knowledge and practical experience. In addition, the event was a great opportunity for sharing ideas and making new connections, which will help with future collaborations.

The summer school seamlessly overlaid with the scientific meeting of PTFiT. The first day of the conference was open to lecturers and participants of the summer school and included an invited international session. Prof. Iwaszczuk presented the work of the group on enhancing deep-learning-based semantic segmentation of 3D point clouds with conditional random fields.
