One year of research at the TU Darmstadt
Prof. Tomohito Asaka returns to Japan after a one-year research stay.

Prof. Tomohito Asaka (Ph. D.) was a visiting researcher at the Department of Remote Sensing and Image Analysis at TU Darmstadt from March 2024 to March 2025. On March 13, 2025, he gave his final lecture on his research stay at TU Darmstadt.
Prof. Asaka is a professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, College of Industrial Technology, Nihon University, and conducts research mainly in the field of terrain analysis by remote sensing. During his stay at TU Darmstadt, he worked on the use of persistent scatterer interferometry to evaluate ground movements.
