Duane C. Brown Award for Prof. Dorota Iwaszczuk during the ISPRS mid-term Symposium 2024 in Las Vegas

ISPRS TC II mid-tems Symposium took place 11-14 June 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. During this scientific meeting Prof. Dorota Iwaszczuk was presented the 2023 Duane C. Brown Award by representative from the Ohio State University.
ISPRS TC II Mid-term Symposium 2024 was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA und the motto “The Role of Photogrammetry for a Sustainable World”. The conference was attended by 136 people from 24 countries. Participants enjoyed 6 fascinating keynote speeches, 19 thematic oral presentation sessions and two poster sessions. Our group presented current research outcomes on Integration of Crowd-sourced Annotations of Tree Crowns using Markov Random Field and Multispectral Information.
During the conference, also the award ceremony took place. Prof. Dorota Iwaszczuk was presented the Duane C. Brown Award 2023 by Prof. Charles K. Toth from the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geodetic Engineering of the Ohio State University. This prize acknowledges a researcher who advanced the cause of geodetic science and strengthened the reputation of the profession, particularly in photogrammetry. The award is presented annually since 1984 by the Duane C. Brown Fund, which was established on September 2, 1983.
