Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dorota Iwaszczuk has been elected Vice President of the German Society for Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Geoinformation.

At the 2024 annual conference of the German Society for Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Geoinformation in Remagen, the new Executive Board and the new Advisory Board were elected. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dorota Iwaszczuk was elected Vice President of the society. Mona Goebel represents the doctoral students on the DGPF Advisory Board.

This year's conference of the German Society for Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Geoinformation (DGPF) took place from 12 to 14 March in Remagen.

On 13 March 2024, the new DGPF Executive Board was elected as part of the DGPF General Assembly, which usually takes place every two years. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dorota Iwaszczuk was elected Vice President of the society. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Uwe Sörgel remains in office as President, Dr Michel Cramer as Secretary (both from the University of Stuttgart) and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Markus Gerke (TU Braunschweig) as Editor of the journal PFG. Dr. Nora Tilly (University of Cologne / City of Cologne) has taken on the role of treasurer.

A new DGPF advisory board was also appointed. In addition to the professorial group of Prof. Dr. Georg Bareth, Prof. Dr. Jens Bongartz, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christian Heipke, Prof. Dr. sc. techn. Hans-Gerd Maas and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Monika Sester, Mona Goebel represents the group of doctoral students on the DGPF Advisory Board.

The Department of Remote Sensing and Image Analysis congratulates the newly elected members and wishes them all the best for their two-year term of office!
