Master of Science (M.Sc.) Geodesy and Geoinformation

Academic requirements

For entering the master study course Geodesy and Geoinformation you need to be an alumnus of the bachelor study course Civil Engineering and Geodesy at the TU Darmstadt or to hold a comparable degree. The study course is basically open to holders of a corresponding diploma of a German 'Fachhochschule'.

Prior to enrolment all applications will be carefully checked for technical qualification. As the case may be, obligations and assessment test might be requested.

Linguistic proficiency

The language of instruction in both study courses is German (besides command of English is useful when studying additional literature or doing online search). For foreign applicants completing the DSH examination or the 'Kleines Deutsches Sprachdiplom' (and the 'Zentrale Oberstufenprüfung' of the Goethe-Institut respetively) prior to enrolment, is mandatory. This level has to be reached by the applicant on his own initiative. Alternatively this can be achieved by the student directly at the university's 'Sprachenzentrum' (Centre for Languages) or at external institutes after being accepted at the Technische Universität Darmstadt but prior to all lectures.
